IMBA / SUBARU TRAIL CARE CREW VISITS
ELY, CAVE LAKE STATE PARK
May 22-25, 2004

Nat and Rachael Lopes started there visit by meeting with White Pine County Trails Coordinator, KALEM LENARD, and then going over to the high school to hang out in the commons area for lunch, with a small IMBA table and trail and riding videos playing. "I've been waiting for this all my life" exclaimed one White Pine high school student. So stoked by the free riding and trail riding video cams, a number of the students showed up the next day to help do some trail work and talked non-stop about their riding experiences and hopes for more trails in the area.

Thanks to all those who helped out on this Cave Lake trail project. The persons below will be helping to expand the areas trail network. Ely will certainly become be high on your mountain bike destination list in the years to come. Stay posted!

Water. Trees. Cliffs. Yes this is in Nevada. Cave Lake State Park (Cave Lake shown) has all of these and is starting to work on what will be an excellent trail network system in eastern Nevada.
