IMBA TRAILS SPECIALIST TO RETURN IN NOVEMBER TO COMPLETE EVANS CANYON TRAIL WORK

Joey Klein is scheduled to return in mid November with IMBA's Sweco trail building machine to help complete the Evans Canyon Restoration project . The funding is being provided from a Nevada State Recreational Trails Grant that was written and headed up by Patti Bakker of the Truckee Meadows Trails Association.

Volunteer evening trail work thru the summer helped get the existing trail out of the bottom of the creek to approximately the half way point up the canyon. Novembers work will entail finishing off the top part of Evans Canyon and to complete a new trail to circumnavigate the new town home development at the top of the canyon.

Saturday November 22 is being scheduled as a volunteer day, in which all local interested person are welcome to help complete the canyons work. Stay tuned for a complete schedule as the time nears.
