Washoe County park planners have approved a plan by  the Reno Wheelmen to implement trails on Hidden Valley parks master plan. The first project is a two mile loop with about 500 elevation gain above the fence line and water tanks. The trail work would entail improvement of horse and social trails paralleling the fence, from the existing green access gate to the parks north boundary. Then the trail would contour back up to a high point, winding back south to another vista point, and back to the starting point.

This trail will entail a lot more work than short section the club built last year at HV. If this loop is built to their satisfaction, more trail work going higher up in the park may be possible.
