Sommersett Goes to City Council February 25 - 6 pm Land Closure Alert - from the Washoe County Backcountry Coalition The Reno City Council will meet on Tuesday, February 25 to review changes to the Somersett Development. These changes could close our access to public land from Northgate to Verdi and reduce open space. We will present the petition to "Keep Open Peavine Roads" and ask that no Somersett changes be approved before the public has adequate time to review them. The Petition will carry much more weight if it is accompanied by a large number of people at the meeting. Please plan to attend and invite your family and friends. Show that you care. Don't sit around wondering why we are losing our rights when you could be doing something. The Council meeting will be at 6 PM, Tuesday, February 25 in City Council Chambers at City Hall, 490 S. Center St. You do not have to stay for the entire meeting. We will read the petition during public comments at the start and you can leave afterward if you wish.
