Two trailheads have recently been completed and offer access to Peavine Mountain and Keystone Canyon.

The EAST KEYSTONE TRAILHEAD is a Washoe County Trailhead near the start of the traditionally used Keystone Canyon trail.  It provides access for NON-MOTORIZED uses.

The WEST KEYSTONE TRAILHEAD is a USFS trailhead, or portal, for all types off access (including motorized) to Peavine.

The Keystone West and East Trailheads are located off North McCarran Blvd, at the top of Keystone Avenue.

To get to them take either North McCarran Blvd or Keystone Avenue till they intersect. Turn or go due north from this intersection onto LEADERSHIP PARKWAY. This road soon turns west where you first encounter the East Keystone Trail Head (approximately 1/4 mile). Continue further to reach the West Keystone Trail Head (approx. 3/4 mile)
