IMBA Trail Building School - February 6-8, 2004 - Reno, NV ARMORED CLIMBING TURN / BERM 
 Preparing to pitch! The ground is dug out to accommodate the bigger, keystone rocks. Then smaller rock is placed in between. Known as stone pitching, at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the rock is buried and sandwiched between the keystones. The finished product provides a super durable and long lasting armored trail tread. |
