2007 Nevada Cup: a Nevada mountain bike race series to a) recognize local racers and their achievements at the various ability levels; b) to increase attendance at proven Nevada race venues; c) to promote mountain biking for fun and fitness; d) to determine the Nevada State Mountain Bike Champions in their various categories and classes. Nevada Cup/Nevada State Championship Series Final Standings: Series standing will be based on the total accumulated points from the series. In the event of a tie, the racer's place in the Series final race (Sky Tavern) will determine the final standing. For XC you must compete in at least two races to qualify for the Nevada Cup/Nevada State Championship standings. USA Cycling National Mountain Bike Championships: The top 15 finishers in each category/class for each Nevada Cup race qualifies for the National Championships in Mt. Snow, VT July 17-22, 2007. The Sky Tavern Classic qualifies for the 2008 USA National Championships.
Series Rules: Per NORBA rules, the racers age on December 31, of the current year, is used to determine which age class the racer competes in. All racers must have a current NORBA license. A one day license will be available at the events. Annual license may be purchased online at USA Cycling. In addition to an Annual NORBA license, you must be an United States Citizen to compete for the Nevada State Championship. U.S. Citizenship is not required for individual race events in the Nevada Cup Series.
