Hi Haley,
Probably not possible. The earliest Elite riders are off at about 8:30. Assuming 1 hr round trip, unless you’re 60 years or older, your masters group would likely have already gone (based on the normal order for the categories).
I’m in my first race season can you help me pick the category. I’m 43 and a Cat 5 (cat 4 by end of season). I race with The B’s in Twilight’s took 3rd at UNR Crit Stage race last week, 7th in TT. I registered with the Masters Men, but I also saw the Elite Cat 4/5. What’s the difference, and how can I change if you think I should? Thanks JP
The start list is published and sent out via e-mail on Friday. If you are unable to get to your e-mail, you can call Mike (race director) at (775) 750-0157 to get this info.
Jon,
The 4/5 category is a “non-championship” category, meaning it doesn’t qualify for anything other than local bragging rights. Don’t get me wrong…it’s still plenty competitive, and from your description, you may stand a chance of placing well. The Masters age group categories (such as the one you entered) do qualify towards national events. You probably wouldn’t win it (that age group is often one of the fastest), but sounds like you would be competitive. Being in this category is important if you’re trying to qualify for some other event (I’m going to guess you’re not doing that).
Top 3 finishers in any and all categories receive medals.
Your choice really, but if you want to switch, just e-mail me at renowheelmen@charter.net and I’ll make the change.
Hi Soni,
I’ll post start times on Friday morning. These times should be accurate, but could bump by no more than a minute or two if we have a large number of late registrations.
Hello,
What road(s) does the TT use? I would like to ceck out the course on Sat., but it is not clear from the information given which road(s) and which direction we will be racing. Thanks for your time and any information you can provide for a neophyte.
Thanks for organizing another great edition of the race! I had a good time riding the newly repaved sections. When will the official results be posted?
Thanks for “being there” to lend us a wheel during our time of need. Being the last one to cross the finish line will be our 2010 legacy and we thank you for your generousity.
Had a good time on sunday, great event. I was wondering if any body turned in a wallet after the race. Im trying to locate mine and reg was the last place i used it and i may have left it their. Let me know if its turned up. Thanks a bunch.
Sorry, no sign of the wallet, but I’ll look through the boxes that were at registration. We picked up real well afterward, so I’m sure it’s not near the reg tables, however it could still be out wherever you were parked.
As for results, they will be sent into USAC within a couple of days. I’ll try to get them compiled tonight and we should have them on our website in a day or two.
Thank you to all for the comments, and for making it a safe and enjoyable race this year.
We even had one of the locals come up and compliment us on an excellent job with the parking this year…so kudos to all of you!
I noticed that my team affiliation (SJBC) and that of others that I know are on teams (e.g., Larry Nolan with Specialized, Chris Lyman, etc) were not on your start list for some reason. Can this info be added to the official USAC results for BAR/BAT purposes? Thanks, Jeremy Wire SJBC 45s
I’m looking forward to coming back this year, especially if the road has been repaved!
Do I need to bring anything special, other than ID, for a 1-day license?
Hello Boris,
Just the ID will be fine. I believe 1 day licenses are $10. See you there.
Mike
Is it possible to race the elite and the masters catagory too?
Has the road been repaved?

Rob,
Yes…and it is beautifully smooth!!
Has the start list been published yet?

I appear on the registration list and received reg confirmation, but I haven’t gotten any other email. Will the start times be published on this page?
Is the start list available yet? I have not received a copy via email and don’t see it here either.
Thanks,

They’ll either be on this page or a link will be posted. I’m just wrapping up the start list now, so it should be up shortly.
Thanks for your patience.

Thank you for putting on this TT. It was my first time racing the districts TT, and I can’t wait for next year.
