All races are $20. A USA Cycling License is mandatory so if you do not have one it will cost $10. If you would like to volunteer for set up or take down at races you can race for free, please just send me and email so I can schedule the appropriate numbers.

Rumors have been circulating about some serious competition coming out of the wood works this year which should make for exciting racing and spectating.

If you have never raced cross before and are curious I am offering first time racers a free race. You can use a mountain bike or even a road bike with cross tires if you can fit them. Just come out and try it, you will glad you did.

Bootleg Courier is going to have FREE pancake and sausage breakfast at the races again this year so bring the kids and the camera and come hang with us. These are great family events to get together and enjoy the beautiful Nevada fall.

If you are thinking about racing in California this year there is a race every weekend between now and January and they are all listed on the NCNCA CX Calender here.

I will be keeping a points tally this year so I will have final standings. I am also reserving the right to mandatory upgrades.

I would also like to thank Sinclair Imports and Stevens Bicycles for sponsoring the series.

I look forward to seeing you all out there!

Thanks. Can’t wait for Squaw Valley. I know Noah’s busy but could someone give us an idea of course location?

  4. Bill 09/17/2010 at 4:53 pm

    From what I see, there won’t be a single-speed race/category?

  5. Tim Stile 09/19/2010 at 8:24 am

    So any 35+,45+ or 55+ B’s??

  6. Noah 09/24/2010 at 11:30 am

@ paul: the course runs through the village, and along the road under Race Services and around the Maintenance building.

@Bill we will have a Single Speed race with the Mens B/Cat 2 group. I will rectify that now.

@Tom Masters are included, I will break that down a little better at the race but really we usually only do 35+, we just havent had enough racers to justify any more break down.

    Thanks and see-ya tomorrow!

Brush #2 is 10/9 on Wheelmen site, however ncnca cross calender says 10/10. Hope it is the later for a double.

  9. […] Cyclocross is a mixture of cycling (some on-road, some off-road), mounting, dismounting, running with your bike and jumping obsticles.  It requires endurance, agility and balance.  The sport is a great spectator sport.  If you have never watched a Cyclocross race, check it out (2010 Sagebrush CX schedule link). Here are some pics from today’s race @ Squaw:
Really fun course, good racing, the only venue in the west more beautiful than Golden Gate Park.
